Fjeldberg – Devotion for December 31st, 2024

READ (Philippians 4:6-7)

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

REFLECT

New Year’s Eve is a day of reflection but can also bring forward feelings of anxiety and apprehension. The last day of the year reminds you of your accomplishments during the last 364 days, but on the flipside can also remind you of what you haven’t yet done or what burdens you continue to carry into the new year. We can choose to be anxious and worried, and we all know the result won’t be good. Or we can choose to thank God for all we have received this year and His purpose for our lives as we move into the new year.

“Let Go and Let God” – a quote on one of the coffee cups my boss uses in the office. A phrase I will be using as we head into the new year. Happy 2025, FLC Family

PRAY:

Dear Heavenly Father, I lay before You all my worries, anxieties, and uncertainties. You know the challenges I face and the burdens I carry. Help me, Lord, to trust You completely with every concern. May I not be consumed by anxiety or fear, but instead find peace in Your presence and in Your promises. Amen.
