Fjeldberg – Devotion for April 24th, 2025

READ (Hebrews 2:18)

Because He Himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted.

REFLECT

This verse jumped out at me as I was searching for my next devo text. There have been many global things, national things and personal things going on that I can be tempted to see only the “bad” stuff. The bad stuff can really bring me discouragement, frustration, sadness and fear. Then this verse points out that even Jesus suffered when He was tempted.  I must remember that Jesus is here for us when we are suffering. Jesus won’t tempt us more than we can handle as long as we lean on Him. I pray and often Jesus reminds me of the wonderful and amazing things going on in the world, our nation and our personal lives. We need to keep our prayers flowing for God’s will to be done on earth as in heaven but also need to not overlook or forget the amazing things that are happening. God is always in control.

PRAY:

Heavenly Father, thank you for always having a plan and for always being with us.  In Jesus’ name, Amen
