Fjeldberg – Devotion for February 4th, 2025
READ (Psalm 136:26)
Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever.
REFLECT
There are those of us who love glitter and others not so much. A lot of times when gifts are given there is glitter on the card or wrapping. Just when you think you have all the glitter cleaned up, another little flake shows up. We joke at our house that glitter is the gift that keeps on giving. Much like God’s presence, grace, and love. Once God sent Jesus to us on that first Christmas, God’s love has never left. Once Jesus died on the cross, forgiving our sins, grace is here. And once God sent the Holy Spirit to dwell within us, God’s presence is everywhere. The next time you get a card or gift with glitter, whether you like glitter or not, I hope it reminds you that God loves you.
PRAY:
Gracious God, thank you for loving us, forgiving us, and being with us. Help us to remember your presence, grace, and love every day. Strengthen us to share these gifts with those around us. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
