Bible Text (Proverbs 10:17)
Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray
Reflect
There are countless jokes about people not stopping to ask for directions when they are lost. Sometimes its hard to swallow that piece of humble pie and admit when we are wrong. We all want to be right, or maybe just to prove the other person wrong. But in doing so, we sometimes miss the mark and take others with us, intentionally or not.
But there is strength in embracing an opportunity to change direction, or admit we are wrong, or allow someone else to be right. Through God’s mercy there is almost always a blessing or lesson to be had that then leads to greater circumstances.
Pray
Guiding God, thank you for mapping out a way to eternal life with you. Help us stay focused on that path, and to do our best to lead others to that same path.
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
